NAMI Walk Postscript: Tri-Cities’ Teams Rule
The challenge was met and surpassed by our local teams, the Tri-City Trekkers and Tumbleweeds. This year was a great success for us through the fundraising efforts of our members who walked and those who sponsored them.
Through the generosity of the many friends, co-workers and family members, plus local corporate sponsors, Cadwell Labs, Con Agra Foods and Lamb-Weston, we went ‘over the top’ on our goal to surpass $1,000 in donations. Contributions can be accepted through June 30 via the web at nami.org or by mail:

Soldiers Project Northwest: Free Confidential Care
A group of mental health care providers in Washington State is offering free help to Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families who either can’t or don’t wish to go through traditional channels for care.
The Soldiers Project Northwest is modeled after a similar effort in Los Angeles, where volunteer therapists since 2004 have seen clients without charge for help with their war-related problems. For more information about Soldiers Project Northwest or to be referred to one of the project therapists, call 206-290-1035 or email soldiersprojectnw@yahoo.com.
