NAMI Walk Postscript: Tri-Cities’ Teams Rule
June 8, 2008
The challenge was met and surpassed by our local teams, the Tri-City Trekkers and Tumbleweeds. This year was a great success for us through the fundraising efforts of our members who walked and those who sponsored them.
Through the generosity of the many friends, co-workers and family members, plus local corporate sponsors, Cadwell Labs, Con Agra Foods and Lamb-Weston, we went ‘over the top’ on our goal to surpass $1,000 in donations. Contributions can be accepted through June 30 via the web at nami.org or by mail:

Special thanks goes to our wonderful guest speakers, starting with the emcee, Kristin Cox, Miss Tri-Cities; Gordon Bopp, NAMI-WA State President; Elisa Elliott, who read a letter of support from King County Sheriff Sue Rahr; and our keynote speaker, Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna, who also cut the ribbon at this year’s event.
