Hero Award: Chewerl Radican

July 7, 2008

During the recent Behavioral HealthCare Conference held in Yakima, Chewerl Radican was presented with the Outstanding Advocacy Award from NAMI WA and deservingly so.

Chewerl has worked tirelessly on a number of huge projects through the years. To mention a few, she organized a very successful seminar on mental health courts, bringing Judge Chow in as keynote speaker and then again she arranged a weeklong training for our area’s first Crisis Intervention Training held this spring.

In addition, Chewerl has served as Chair of the Benton-Franklin Counties’ Mental Health Alliance Committee for several years.

She truly is an outstanding advocate and we’re very fortunate to have her in our court.
